Located on the A3102 in Calne; coming from Melksham/Bromham, the church is on your right; Coming along the A4 through Calne from Marlborough, turn left on to the A3102: from Chippenham turn right on the A3102 and the church is immediately on your left.

Calne Methodist Church is an amalgamation of two Methodist Churches. They were Calne Weslyan Methodist Church, built in 1876 on land given by Lord Lansdowne, and Calne Primitive Methodist Church built in 1878. The two churches joined together on December 19th 1965, to form Calne Methodist Church.

The church buildings have recently been subject to an extensive refurbishment programme which was designed by the architect, the late Mr Alan Bristow. The church has a choir, junior church, telephone prayer circle and weekly ladies meeting. It is also the venue for a large number of community activities.

The new porch is now completed and the picture on the web page "The Churches" shows this work. The other work within the church building deserves a display in its own right! click HERE for more pictures. Of particular interest will be the wall hangings.

Calne Methodist Church, at its 10:30am Sunday Morning service on February 15^th, will be handing over two cheques to the value of £1,900 shared by the charities Click Sargent and Action for Children.

This is the amount raised at our Christmas activities, which included a Christmas Tree Festival, three film shows and meals, Memory Poinsettias and a concert.

We thank everyone who made such a success of these activities and hope that in this time of financial problems these two charities may put the money to good use.
